  It appears that, with the four babies, they set out in 1806 byflatboat down the Ohio River, through miles of hostile Indian territory,and settled in Louisiana Territory.
 George M. Farris was in Albemarle county VA 1795-1806, saysTrueman.
 Moved to MO by 1811 per Jim Farris jfarris@execpc.com 07-08-1997.
 George M. Farris served in the War of 1812.
 Died in 1858 in Moniteau County, MO.
  Even though I sent JFarris@execpc.com July 10, 1997 a full ODC onthis family, starting with William Farris 1720 and John Farris 1742,JFarris nevertheless e-mailed the Farris news list 07-27-1997 to askanyone for info on the family of George M. Evidently JFarris does NOTbelieve that John is the father and William is the grandfather. Hise-mail says he is searching for George as the father of George.
 JFarris later 08-02-1997 reports that the parents of George M. arenot documented. He has George M. and descendants fully documented.
 JFarris, e-mail jfarris@execpc.com, is the son and non-researcher,and the researcher is the father Trueman E. Farris Jr. Trueman reportsto the Farris ListServe 10-22-1997 that the parents of George M. Farris1769 are UNKNOWN.
 In this same e-mail, Trueman reports that the just-published accountbooks of Thomas Jefferson show payments in 1795 and 1796 to George Faris(George M. Farris) for toll on, and 'hawling' up the mountain atMonticello, nailrod for TJ's nailery factory, as well as "11.bar.fish."Ezekiah Faris and John Faris, otherwise unknown, are also mentioned inthe account books.
