Note: Someone told me he was born September 1. His wife says August 1. Lived in Hallettsville, Texas. He taught Agriculture to veterans under the GI bill in 1946. He began to raise chickens. He and Beulah were married in February 14, 1948. He began to work at the Post Office Dept., and kept up the chickenbusiness on the side. Then he gave up the chickens. For about eight years they had a contract with a Weingarten produceoffice in Hallettsville to supply eggs for the Houston market. They had three daughters, who apparently ate chicken for breakfast, lunch, and supper. The girls also had their chores to do. Raymond died of a brain cancer in a Houston hospital in 1979.
