  "Burnet County History Vol. I" Clayton Library 976.463 D287 page 123:
 W. A. Fariss gave land on a hill in 1912 for a Baptist Church inBurnet, a half-mile east of the railroad.
  Page 185: The first school in Lake Victor began in 1903. T. M.Fariss deeded the land for a one-room, one-teacher school September 25,1906.
  Then on page 185: W. A. Fariss and wife Lodia deeded 2 acres of landto the Lake Victor School Trustees in January 1916 "for schoolpurposes." ("DRBC" Vol. 55 page 631, whatever DRBC is.) The new schoolwas built one mile east of Lake Victor, just below Amos Jenkins place,and consisted of three rooms. The Church of Christ had been using theold schoolhouse, and the church then bought it. The 1916 school wasreplaced in 1925 with a 3-room schoolhouse with an auditorium on thesecond floor.
