Farmers, ranchers. Ira Milton Fariss Jr. in 1987 still farms theland settled by Theodore Holmes Fariss.
Annie Fariss Ballard says that Ira Milton's mother Aunt Laura MedlinFariss visited in Giddings once when Annie was a child. Laura had "kindof reddish hair." On another occasion, Ira Milton 1895, Cata 1897, andElmer Jack 1902 visited in Giddings together. Ira Milton Fariss Sr. andRobert Ernest Fariss, first cousins of about the same age, became goodfriends during the visits.
Ira Milton Fariss Sr. died in Elk City, and is buried in EvergreenCemetery, Leedey, Oklahoma.
