Rufus Shipman is buried by his wife Mary (Molly) Pratt and twin sons
Paul and Silas Shipman, near his father Alexander Shipman
in the Pratt-Shipman Cemetery (also known as Mudd Creek Cemetery).
on what is called Shipman Hill between Middlebrook and Warm Springs,
Randolph Co. Ark.
Rufus and Alexander Shipman lived west of the Cemetery at the bottom
of Shipman hill, Rufus on the south side of the road and Alexander on the
north side just west of Rufus. Alexander Shipman's old home place was
destroyed by fire. Rufus Shipman's home still stands.
As a child I went with my Grandfather John Edward Shipman to visit
his brother Rufus F. Shipman many times.
