 In Ontario he and Catherine farmed.
 John was 24 when they came to Canada. They had five daughters-Margaret, Isabelle, Mary, Flora and Elizabeth.
 John and Catherine farmed on Lot 34 East, Concession 10 of Euphemia Township.
 John died young (age 63) and Duncan & Flora (Campbell) McCallum bought the farm. Their son, John McCallum and Alma lived there until his death in 1969. Their son, Duncan, sold the farm in 1972 to Lynn Gray who later sold it to Boersmas.
