a. Note:   DAVID F. PORTER. David F. Porter, president of the Hamilton Bank, died yesterday. He was in his fifty-third year. Mr. Hamilton [sic] was a dealer in real estate at No. 159 West One-hundred-and-twenty-fifth-st., and lived at No. 147 West Seventy-seventh-st. He was a member of the Harlem Club.

  Daniel [sic] Fletcher Porter Dead.
 David Fletcher Porter, President of the Hamilton Bank, died at his home, 147 West Seventy-seventh Street, at 6 o'clock last night after a brief illness. Mr. Porter was born in this city over fifty-two years ago, was educated here, and lived here all his life. Twenty-six years ago he married Miss Fanny Leggett of New York.
 For the last twenty-five years he had been a real estate broker. His firm, Porter & Co., was located at 159 West One Hundred and Twenty-fifth Street. Mr. Porter had also been President of the Hamilton Bank, at 215 West One Hundred and Twenty-fifth Street, for the last seven years. He was a staunch Republican and a member of the Harlem Republican Club. Among bankers and politicians of this city he was well known.
 Mr. Porter served as Rapid Transit Commissioner some years ago, and was one of the Presidential Electors during the Blaine campaign, and also of those who voted for Benjamin Harrison when he was first nominated.
 Mr. Porter leaves a wife, one son, and a daughter. The date of his funeral, which will be held at the house, has not been decided. The burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
