Sometime following her divorce from William H. Leggett, Eleanor, aging only two years in the past ten (now 26), had moved to Milwaukee with 7-year-old Florence, to live in the household of her sister Florence, 28, married to Kurtis Froedtort, 32, Wisconsin native, of a father from Hessian Darmstadt, mother from Wisconsin, who seems to have been engaged in "Own business meat handler?" (legibility poor). The family is small, with just son Donald, 5, and two servants listed. Eleanor is listed as having become a U. S. citizen in 1899.

Unable to find Eleanor or Florence in the 1930 Census. Being such a young thing, it is highly likely that Eleanor had remarried by 1930. Her daughter, Florence, would have been 17 then, and could have married as well, or could have been adopted by Eleanor's new husband. Or perhaps she went back to Canada...

Curtis and Florence (Eleanor's sister) were at 379 Thirty-second Street in Milwaukee in 1910, but that seems to be of no help. They had just married, and had no children yet:

Kurtis is in the 1930 Census after all, at 792 Marietta Avenue, Milwaukee, but his wife is a different woman, Maizie born in Wisconsin, not Florence born in Canada. Maizie is 30, and was married for the first time at 27, so this is her first marriage, but Kurtis's second, as he is now 42, but was first married at 21. So did Kurtis and Florence divorce, or did Florence die? And where is Donald? He would have been only 15 in 1930. Perhaps he and his mother Florence went back to Canada, as maybe did Florence and her mother Eleanor. None of these four are found in the 1930 Census.
