He married Emma Kay "Jimmy" Carter 7 June 1903 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. Emma was born 7 September 1880 in ---. Emma died 26 July 1964 in Utah, at age 83. Augustus & Emma had two daughters - Betty [ca. 1905] & Dorothy.

Elizabeth is a "Bookkeeper, Undertakers" but her father's occupation is illegible--maybe wholesale something.

In recent weeks I have been in contact with a member of the Ives family. I have purchased several more of the Ives family portraits. One being a portrait of Augustus Wright Leggett. Handsome man in mid to late thirties. Well painted in original frame. I assume he is related to you ...do you want a photo of the painting? Would you know his picture if you saw it ?

Thanks, John. A little dark, but the resolution is very good. But obviously this is a painting of a man from a later time than the one I sent you pix of. This is that man`s grandson, also named AWL, 1866-1944. He`s my 2d cousin 2x removed. He`s the first cousin of Percy Ives; he was but two years his junior. So Percy could paint him in his prime, as opposed to their mutual grandfather, who died in 1885. Here is your man, looks a bit younger even than in your portrait:
