Note: oodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y., which Plot is immediately behind the William H. Leggett Plot (Lots 522 and 523, Section 9 Spring Hill Section, Magnolia Drive) near the Cemetery office at the Webster Avenue gate in the extreme northeast corner of the grounds.
In the 1920 Census, he was single, living in 88 Maple Drive, Stamford, Connecticut, with his mother, Mrs. Charles D. Belden, widow, his cousin Laura L. Leggett, and the family servant, Maria Mullen.

Agnes Belden Arthur residing at 320 East 72nd Street in the City of New York and State of New York being duly sworn, doth depose and say: Sarah Belden, deceased heir of Lot Number 1765-1766 section 9 plot Spring Lake in the Woodlawn Cemetery, situated in the City of New York and County of Bronx, died on or about the first day of March one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven and did not specifically refer to said lot by Last Will and Testament.
That at the time of the death of the said Sarah Belden she left surviving, as her sole heirs, the following three children:
Edith Belden Palmer, 480 Park Avenue
William Allen Belden, since deceased, leaving one child,
William Allen Belden, who also left a wife Hala Belden
Agnes Belden Arthur, this deponent
And the following no children of deceased children:
That the said Sarah Belden left surviving no husband by name of

We know that he married and fathered a son sometime between the 1920 Census and his death in 1929. His mother had died in 1927. In July 2002, was unable to find in the 1930 Census any Maple Drive in Stamford, Ward 2, after browsing enumeration districts 191-197, 261 images. This address in the 1920 is the only clue where he might be found in the 1930, without an index.
Never could find the son and Hala Belden in the 1930, even with an index, May 2003.
