Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Leggett
CHESTERTOWN- Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Leggett, 95, a resident of Chestertown, died Monday evening (Dec. 16, 1974) at the Tri County Nursing Home, North Creek, after a long illness.
Born in Ireland, Mrs. Leggett came to this country when she was two years old, She resided most of her life in the Chestertown area. She was a member of the Chestertown Community United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Atateka Rebecca Lodge of Chestertown.
Survivors include a stepson, Charles Leggett, of Chestertown.
There will be no calling hours.
Friends may call prior to the funeral service at the Barton Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home by Rev. Dr. George Carpenter, retired pastor of the World Council of Churches.
Interment will be in the Leggett Cemetery.
The family has suggested that memorials may be in the form of contributions to the United Methodist Church in Mrs. Leggett's name and that flowers be omitted.
