He is 44, a Farmer, with Polly 45, Isaac, 11, Melvin, 7 and Marian, 79. So we would not only seem to have discovered some of the facts regarding Richard which eluded Earl Leggett (above), but also the name of Richard's mother, obviously a much younger woman than Richard's father, Samuel. Leads one to believe Samuel might have been married before, but we have no evidence for this at present.
