What a wonderful tribute to the Leggett family. I also have Leggett ancestry. Gabriel Leggett, born 1637 in England and died 1700 at West Farms was my 7th ggrandfather. His daughter Sarah, married Thomas Davenport; my lineage continues there. My ggrandmother was Keziah Jane Davenport, daughter of Thomas Davenport, b. 1814. I appreciate the sources you have posted on your Rootsweb pages; I rarely add any information to my database without reliable sources. I have also enjoyed reading "The English Origins of the Gabriel Leggett Family" which you posted. I found it through John Keifer on his Ancestry.com tree. I have not posted my tree yet on Rootsweb but plan to do so soon. If you would like any information about my Leggett or Davenport ancestors, I certainly would be happy to share it with you. Kindest regards, Carol Ritchey Texas
