Following is the information provided under his father's (16. William3 Leggett (William2, Gabriel1)) listing, p. 38:
41 iv. William, b. Sept. 17, 1742; d. -------, living in 1763, but not named in the deed of 1769. In the records of the first and second Presbyterian Churches, New York City, we find the marriage of a William Leggett, soldier, and Catherin Boswin, Feb. 18, 1763. Possibly this is William, but no further record of him has been found.
