Appears to be the son of Herbert Leggett 704. William Leggett ALBANY William Leigh Leggett, 90, died peacefully Saturday, December 18, 2004 at home, after a long illness. Born July 1, 1914 in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the youngest child of the late Elizabeth and Herbert Leggett. Bill was a master butcher who worked for years in NYC and on Long Island for the A&P Company and Hills Brothers. He was a longtime resident of Long Island who loved to watch the ocean. He was predeceased by his wife of nearly 40 years, Muriel Buckland Leggett. He is survived by his loving daughters, Carole Maiwald of Albany and Virginia Levy of Phoenix. His cherished grandchildren, Lori Maiwald, Kimberly Velez, Al Maiwald Jr., Matthew Levy, Brandy Terry and Cherri Hoffman; 12 cherished great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog Ebony, also survive him. Funeral services at Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany, 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2004. Visiting hours will be from 10-12 that day. Bill's ashes will be laid along side his late wife at Pine Lawn National Cemetery this spring.
