Notes
a. Note:   Refer: Peter Stewart MUDGE @26Mar2010 My only memory of grandfather Buchanan was when my Dad drove us, in our 1929 "Overlander" converted panel van from Benalla to Deniliquin in about 1948-9 to visit our Uncle Archie Buchanan, a water bailiff, on an irrigation channel control weir 15 miles south of Deniliquin.
We travelled over to Jerilderie where Grandpa lived in a hut he had constructed on the banks of the Billabong creek. I remember looking out the back of the vehicle when we left to see him standing alone waving to us on the banks of the creek with the big head of a Murray Cod suspended in the tree behind him.
