 On page 229, 'A list of immigrants introduced into the Colony of NSW on Government Bounty, by Mr John MARSHALL, London in pursuance of the Colonial Secretary's authority, dated 19 February 1839, to his agents here, Messrs Walker & Co and who arrived here per ship "Mary" on the 24th November 1839'
 Under the heading "Single Men" (1 of 28 farm labourers on board) :
 Conn, James, age 18, farm labourer from Forgue, Huntley, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Protestant who can Read & Write. Father James(farmer) and mother, Christina. Bounty paid was 18 pounds by sponsor, MrJohn Marshall of London.
