MRS. CAROLINE Bearden DIES AT HER HOME HERE Native of Virginia Lived Here Many Years ___________________ Mrs. Caroline Virginia Bearden, 87, native of Virginia, died at her home at 312 Woodland street at 8:40 o'clock Thursday night after an illness of several months, her most recent suffering having been from bronchial pneumonia. Mrs. Bearden who was the widow of E.E. Bearden, with whom she came to Nashville many years ago in her early married life. She is survived by three sons E.F. Bearden, Sr., W.H. Bearden of Nashville and O.D. Bearden of Atlanta, and a sister, Mrs. J.W. Chockley of Nashville. Soon after coming to Nashville, Mrs. Bearden became affiliated with the Church of Christ which has later moved to the Lindsley avenue site and with the exception of recent years when her infirmities prevented her from attending, was active in her worship. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. James A. Allen and the Rev. H.E. Steele. Her grandsons Walter Bearden, E.F. Bearden, Jr., R.C. Bearden, Forrest C. Bearden, Walker Grimes and Roy Grimes will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
