Note: Doris Elaine Holden, age 87, of Pensacola, FL., peacefully passed away on Thursday, February, 2, 2017. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00pm. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Dr. John Pavlus. Doris was born in Apalachicola, FL and was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. She retired from Pensacola State Junior College Registrar's Office. Doris was an active member of Brownsville Baptist Church (New Beginnings), where she served in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Verna Johnson; her sister, Audrey Guyette; and her daughter, Victoria Holden. She is survived by her son, Scott Holden; grandchildren, Jason (Bobbi) Holden; Justin (Heather) Holden; and Hilary Holden; her great-grandchildren, Levi Holden, Emma Holden and Lucas Holden; her niece, Ginger Van Ness. The family extends a very special thank you to Homestead Village and Covenant Hospice.
