 Died in Charlotte on the way home from the war.
  According to the story I was told by my Aunt Renette Ross, her grandmother Sarah Susannah SJNEL Green had so many names because her parents had written to a brother of one of her parents who was in the war that a baby was to be born. He wrote back and suggested names for a boy and a girl. This uncle died on the way home (near Charlotte from fever), and to honor him, Sarah Susannah's parents gave her both the names they had picked out as well as the names the relative had suggested.
 I assume that Joseph Green was the uncle meant.
