Note:   The actual date of the marriage between J. N. Waters and Sue Horton is not clear. The marriage bond is clearly dated Oct 23, 1882. The entry in the TN State marriage records shows the marriage date as Sep 24, 1882. Since the marriage was not recorded in the state records until Mar 29, 1883, however, my guess is that they simply got the month wrong.
