SOURCE CITATION - 1801 CENSUS: (Taken from letter dated 22 Jan 2000 to Arnold Offerdahl from Jan Kristiansen, genealogist at the State Archives in Oslo) "Northern Kopprud" - Cotter's place (name not given) Head: Ole Christophersen, 31, in 1st marriage, cotter possessing land (1801 - 31 = b. 1770) Wife of head: Anne Davidsdatter, his wife, 23, in 1st marriage (1801 - 23 = b. 1778) Child: Christen Olssen, 4 (1801 - 4 = b. 1797) Child: Marthe Olsdatter, 1 (1801 - 1 = b. 1800) Note: Anne Davidsdatter and husband Ole Christophersen are listed on the 1801 census right next to Anne's parents, David Arnesen and Mari Paulsdtr. COMMENT REGARDING OLE'S NAME IN 1801 CENSUS: (Taken from letter dated 30 Apr 2000 to Arnold Offerdahl from Jan Kristiansen, genealogist at the State Archives in Oslo) It's also most likely that Christen Olsen's father's correct name was Ole Christensen - and not Christophersen as given on the 1801 census. This is because he is given as Ole Christensen on all his children's baptisms, that he named his so n Christen and not Christopher, and the fact that the above mentioned sponsor/witness Ole Christensen Kopperud very probably is identical with Anne Davidsdatter's husband. Thus the two Davidsdatter sisters indeed both seem to have been married to an Ole Christensen.
