A primary source of information for this family came from a bible originally belonging to William Wiatt (1752-1800), and wife, Catherine Julian (1756-1792), of Fredericksburg, Virginia. It appears that this bible was handed down to his son, Francis Julian Wiatt (who married Elizabeth Winslow Parker in 1811).
The family record section of this bible was transcribed by E. Carter Delano in March 1928, and a copy was given to Dr. Lyon G. Tyler for publication in Tyler’s quarterly historical and genealogical magazine. At the time, Mr Delano was the Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court for Richmond County, Virginia.
For the most part, I have used this transcription verbatim. There have been a few occasions where I have made a minor correction or addition for clarity.
As I mentioned, the transcription was published in Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine. Issues of Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine can be found today, consolidated in large volumes.
Volume 1, which contains the transcription of William Wiatt's bible, can be found at Google Books using this link: https://books.google.com/books?id=55I38FXWyPgC&pg
The applicable section is titled “Bible Records of William Wiatt and his son Francis Julian Wiatt”, and that begins on page 466.

Dr. John Wiatt was born on 23 November 1826 in Spotsylvania County, Va. He was the eighth child (of 13) of Elizabeth Winslow Parker & Francis Julian Wiatt.
According to Missouri marriage records, John married Eliza M. Perry on 4 Dec 1851 in Washington County, Missouri.
According to findagrave.com, John died on 1 May 1875 and is interred at the Potosi Presbyterian Cemetery, Potosi, Washington County, Missouri.
The widow Eliza married Rev. William Stratton in July 1880. Eliza and William are also interred at the Potosi Presbyterian Cemetery.
There was a daughter named Lizzie listed in the 1880 census. She was not enumerated in the 1870 census so it is possible that she was adopted.
According to her death record, Lizzie was born 11 Feb 1867 in Jefferson County, Missouri, and died on 27 December 1947 in St James Township, Phelps County, Missouri.
 She is listed at www.findagrave.com
Lizzie married James Richeson in 1888.

Here is what the Julian Wiatt family bible states, with some editing:
» Birth: John Wiatt the eighth child, born Thursday night, 23rd November 1826 (* at same place as above) about 9 o'Clock.
["Same place" is the Wiatt home located in Spotsylvania County, Va, on the North fork of the North Anna River - and I think the house & property was named 'Aspen/Aspin Hill'].
» Baptism: John Wiatt, Baptized by the Revd. Edwd. C. McGuire on the evening of Tuesday the 22nd May 1827 - in the lecture Room of the Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, just before Prayer Meeting.
» Marriage: John Wiatt to Miss Eliza Perry of Potosi Jefferson Co., Mo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
