Continued: reference: A primary source of information for this family came from a bible originally belonging to William Wiatt (1752-1800), and wife, Catherine Julian (1756-1792), of Fredericksburg, Virginia. It appears that this bible was handed down to his son, Francis Julian Wiatt (who married Elizabeth Winslow Parker in 1811). The family record section of this bible was transcribed by E. Carter Delano in March 1928, and a copy was given to Dr. Lyon G. Tyler for publication in Tyler’s quarterly historical and genealogical magazine. At the time, Mr Delano was the Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court for Richmond County, Virginia. For the most part, I have used this transcription verbatim. There have been a few occasions where I have made a minor correction or addition for clarity. As I mentioned, the transcription was published in Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine. Issues of Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine can be found today, consolidated in large volumes. Volume 1, which contains the transcription of William Wiatt's bible, can be found at Google Books using this link: https://books.google.com/books?id=55I38FXWyPgC&pg The applicable section is titled “Bible Records of William Wiatt and his son Francis Julian Wiatt”, and that begins on page 466.
