Note: Raymond and Alice also eloped. Alice contracted TB shortly after the birth of Pat and spent several years in a sanitarium. Pat first went to live with Claude and Agnes Wrick in Fairmont, WV and later with one of the Neason relatives.. When she was old enough to attend school, Alice wanted Pat to attend a Catholic school, and she went to live with her mother after that. D'mitriann live with one of the Neason relatives the whole time. The living conditions were good for Pat at the Wrick home, but she and D'mitriann were not treated well at the home of the Neason relatives. Being bounced around between families and the bad treatment had a negative effect on them that lasted into their adult lives. Alice, being a single mother, had a very difficult time financially raising her two daughters. (source: Pat and Sacha Millstone) The Surname is almost always spelled Neason by family members in birth, marriage and death certificates.
