Note: Hugh is probably the son of Hugh Sidwell who built a cabin on White Oak Ridge in Washington Co. (now Greene Co.), PA about Christmas, 1776 and sold it for 20 shillings to Henry Taylor on whose land he had unknowingly built it. ÙCiÙDWashington Co. History, Edited by Boyd Crumrine, page 146

There are immagrants John Sidwell, his brother Hugh and their father Hugh Sidwell who came to Nottingham, Chester Co., PA about 1715. John went to Lancester Co., PA. Elisha in Greene Co. in 1800 and Hugh from 1800 to 1830 could be sons of Hugh, who built the cabin, and grandsons of John.
I am looking for any info on Josiah M. Sidwell prior to 1870. Born 1826 in Greene co. PA first wife Rebecca. One child by her Sarah or Sally born around 1860's. His parents Hugh Sidwell and Mary.
