Note: Betty and David Emerson knew each other when attending the New Bedford High School. Betty said that her parents would not let her date David because he hung out with the wrong boys. He wasn't involved in a lot of the things they were involved in, but it was guilt by association as far as her parents were concerned. Their pathes crossed again 40 some years later when they met at one of their social clubs.
