Note: Her name is Mary Ellen on her birth certificate. Samuel Shaw, in his citizenship papers, lists his wife as Marianna Shaw born at Rosses Point, Ireland. He arrived at the port of Boston 22 August 1902. The 1920 censaus also lists the name as Marianna. Samuel's obituary gives the name as Mary Ann. The family lived in Rosses in 1896 when Margaret Adams was confirmed.
Cregg is a small village on the west coast of Ireland, about 3 miles North West of the town of Sligo. Rosses Point is on the shore 2 miles East of Creeg.
