Note: Her sisterBertha wrote her name "Mayme" in her diary. 9 April 1942 in St. Marys, "Sister Gertie spent the night with Sister Mayme." 10 April 1942, "I spent the afternoon at Sister Mayme's, ate supper with L. Jr. and Mary. Gertie came back this evening. (Clod and raining)" 9 July 1942, "Papa and I were called to come over, Mayne was very ill, she died before we arrived, she was sick about half an hr. She died at 2:15 this morning, the cause was acute angina, she had been sick for over a yearof anemia but wa planning for a trip to Lillian's."
