a. Note:   Listed as Gertrude L. in 1920 census. Quotes from diary of Bertha Weekley, 21 April 1944, "Novella went home today or to New Martinsville to spend a few days with her sister Meta S." I don't have her listed in my research. She might be Barbara the only sister not mentioned in the diary.
 12 July 1946 "Sister Gertie past away today, early this morning. Her last words were "I want to go home." We will miss her so much, but God was good to release her from her suffering, Papa and I went to Moundsville this afternoon."
