Note: The evidence for placing John as the brother of William and in this family is not as strong as I would like. There is a Henry Roberts in the 1790 Salisbury, Rowen Co. NC census with no other males. (1 0 6 0 0) John would be 9 years old. The rootsweb reference does not adequately document William as a son of Henry. See the notes for John and his wife Susannah for my reasons.
