a. Note:   The L. E. Alley family knew her as Julia Ann. Her death certificate is Julia Frances. The 1858 birth date on her death certificate is 2 years later than 1860 and 1870 census records. 1858 agrees with the 1880 census just after her first marriage. Her marriage certificate to Everett lists her age. At first glance it appears to be 30, but there was a small line added to the 0 which may have been to change it to a 6. That would make her birth 1856. In 1900 and 1910 it is exactly the same as Everett. It appears she did not like to tell people her real age. I will use the 1856 date that fits the birth order of her siblings better and agrees with the 2 early censuses.
