Note: 1900 census lists birth as April 1846. This confilcts with Samantha's birth. 1850, age 9 and 1860, age 16 are not consistant. (about 1841 and 1844) Marriage record gives age as 26. (about 1847)
Her son, Albert Locke, was twice elected County School Superintendent. He lived in St. Marys, WV, where he was President of Pleasants Co. Bank. He was appointed Banking Commissioner by the Governor. He lived across the street from the Lawrence Alley Jr. family. L. E. Alley, Sr. purchased shares in the bank to help them when they were in trouble with some bad loans. This Stock, certificate #2, has been handed down to Lawernce, Jr. and Lawrence, III.
