Note: His gravestone gives his birth as 1854, but the courthouse records his death 25 Aug 1930 age 75 yr. 2 mo. 0 days, which calculates to born 25 June 1855. The death certificate records birth: 18 June 1854, death: 26 Aug 1930. age looks like it has been changed from 75y 2m 8d to 76y 2m 8d..

I forgot to tell you that Sue (daughter of Wilbert King Ramsey) said that it was common knowledge that Fate was the father of the last 3 of Catherine's children, NOT just William. (email from Carolyn Ramsay) (There were only 2 - Carrie is Catherine's granddaughter and listed as Lewis' cousin in the 1900 census.)
William H. Rowsey is listed as his a nephew living with Fate and Catherine in the 1900 Ritchie Co. census. This listing is a cover-up for the illegitimate birth since he is also his son.
