"In pursuance of the direction of the last Will and Testament of John Renner, dec'd., late of Jefferson township, Greene county, Pa., we will offer for sale on the premises, on FRIDAY the 12th day of MARCH, 1847, between the hours of 12m. and 2 o'clock, p.m., the following real estate, viz: 140 acres of Land, situate part in Franklin and part in Whitely townships, on the head waters on Big Whitely creek. There are about 110 acres cleared, of which there is 15 acres of most excellent meadow. The balance is well timbered. - The improvements consist of a good two story hewed log house and stable; a most excellent peach orchard, and a number of other fruit trees; an excellent spring of water near the house. The road from New Town to Jefferson leads through this place. It is will adapted to farming or grazing, and very convenient to both good grist and saw mills. This tract of land is well worth the notice of persons wishing to purchase real estate, as it will be sold on very accommodating terms to suit purchasers.

John and his wife Margaret, are buried on a farm 7 miles southeast of Waynsburg. the family burial plot is located on a hill on this farm which is owned by a Morris, or was owned by a "Morris" at some time in the 40s when this cousin visited there.
