Note: In 1900 he was in the First Reserve Hospital, Manila, Philippine Islands, Military and Naval Forces. Age 21 birth date listed as 1879 with no month. His WWI draft registration gives his birth date as 4 September 1879. It also makes him too young to be in the service in 1900. He has had 3 years service previously in the infantry with a rank of 3. He is living at 4824 Waverly Ave, in Huntington, Wayne Co. WV. (dated 5 June 1917) Wayne lived with Lula for a time, in Westmoreland district of Huntington, Wayne Co. West Virginia. L. E. Alley, Jr. remembered this and the 1930 census confirmed that he was living with Lula and her second husband. His age is listed as 42 (born 1888 which is not correct) In his WWII draft registration he lists his birth date as 4 Sept 1879. The 1879 date conflicts with either of the birth dates for his brother Charles. For the lack of any other evidence I have assumed the day and month is correct and that it is 1881, to space it a reasonable distance fron the December 1879 birth of brother, Charles. But it could be a later year. He may have changed the year when he joined the military before 1900. His death certificate lists Wayne N. Alley as married. His age is listed as about 65 with no birth date. He moved back to Lulu's home in 1935, and lived there 8 years until he died in 1943. He must have only lived with Rosie for 2 or 3 years. My father, L. E. Alley, Jr. told me they only lived together a short while, but never divorced. Wayne was listed as Bud Alley in the 1880 census.
