Note: I believe Amos s/o Jacob and Malissa b. April 1, 1853 d.1877 drowned while bathing in Big Sandy.

The source is wrong about the daughter Malissa who married in 1883. Amos did vanish from records before 1880. Bathing would have been in the summer. Not in winter ice when two of Everett Alley's brothers died.
