 Opened in business in 1926 in Rimrose Road, Bootle as a motor Engineer trading as White's Rimrose Motors. In partnership with brothers Harold and William. William Died and the brothers carried on trading by now running a fleet of taxis's they traded as such throughout the war years finally selling the Taxi fleet and starting up in road haulage after the war end. In 1952 Texaco made an offer for the Rimrose Road site of £75,000 but withdrew when they discovered the council intention to compulsory purchase the site for road widening purposes. The garage closed for the final time in 1966 and the site passed to the council for £23,000 " Stolen ". I think it broke Dads heart anyway he died the following year.
