Note: They had no children. After the death of John's father Thomas Nutbrown, his mother Ann (Cottam) lived with them until her death in 1866. They also cared for Elizabeth Baker's father, Joseph Baker, who was born in Ireland in 1788. He died in 1881 at the age of 93. John Nutbrown and Elizabeth Baker lived between Leeds and St. Sylvester, Quebec and they are buried in the old Methodist burying ground known as Parkhurst along the original Craig's Road. It is interesting to note that three Nutbrown brothers married three Baker sisters, so descendants from these families would therefore have common ancestors on both the (English) Nutbrown and (Irish) Baker side.
