a. Note:   They farmed on lot 16, on the 13th range of Leeds, Quebec but according to the Canada census, they had also lived near St. Sylvester in the county of Lotbiniere. They had a family of eleven children. William Nutbrown received a medal for service with the 55th Megantic Battalion of Infantry at Levis for service during April and May of 1870. He died at the age of 82, on Feb.21, 1899. Elizabeth Mocock was born on Feb. 7, 1824 in Lower Canada and died in 1908. She was the daughter of William Mocock.
