 There was Felix Gatehouse who emigrated to Canada in 1847. In 1901 he was listed as aged 60 and living in Montreal.
  Felix appears on the 1841 census living in Bourton with John, brother & sister Sarah. Felix occupied land owned by The Marquis of Westminster Edward Mells. It was Ref. 1639 on the Tithe map of Gillingham in the hamlet of Bourton it was less than an acre rent was 5s 6d payable to the vicar. He married Mary Hine at Bourton 15/11/1841 with a George Gatehouse & Sarah Gatehouse as witnesses. 1842 had house & land at West Bourton. In the 1851 census Felix & family are living in West Bourton, Felix was enumerator for that parish census in 1851. He farmed 160 acres & employed 10 labourers. His children are Emma Mary -8, Anne Rachel - 18months & John Thomas 18 months. He is a signature on the Churchwarden Accounts for 13th April 1849, 7th May 1851 & 15th April 1852.
 By 1854 Felix & family have moved to Pulham Manor Farm, he is church warden which he does until his death. Felix made a will. He appears in Kelly's 1885 at Manor Farm.
