  Stanstead Journal- Mr. Elwin Taylor, a lifelong resident of this town died November 17, 1923 aged 70 years. He was the son of the late James Taylor.
  Sherbrooke Record- Nov 21- Mr. Alwin K. Taylor, one of the oldest market gardeners of Stanstead County, passed away at his old home place on Nov 17th, after two weeks serious illness. Mr. Taylor was born on October 13, 1852 and was well known throughout the Eastern Townships having attended Sherbrooke market during the summer seasons for the past 40 years. His wife predeceased him twenty years ago, while one of his daughters died eight years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. Howard Hartwell, one grandchild, and a half sister, Mrs. George Worthen. The funeral service was held at his late residence on Monday November 19, many of his neighbours and friends attending. Those from a distance were Mr. & Mrs. Ben Stewart and Mr. Frank Stewart of Rock Island, Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Bean of Suffield, Mrs. Winfield Parker of North Hatley and Mrs. Cutts and son Ralph of Sherbrooke.
