Obituary 5 May 1962 Statesman Newspaper, Salem, OR. Effie & Ralph Digby died within an hour of each other; he of a stroke suffered six days earlier & she an hour later of a heart attack at a daughter's home.

Good to hear from you. Had to back and look at my database to see what I'd entered as it's been a while since I did anything on the Digby line.
Actually I think there might be two living Digby descendants of Ralph and Effie (Easler) Digby. I don't know why I didn't add the second one unless it was because I didn't know where she fit into the family. Only tonight prompted by your letter was I able to locate the Digby family in the 1930 census for Oakdale, Polk Co., Oregon. In the Ancestry.com 1930 census index the family is listed under the name DIBY.
Leona Digby might still be living. Unable to locate her in our Social Security Death Index; the same for her sister Lula. Both woman are also listed in an (living) index called US Search but that doesn't always mean anything (as far as being alive). My husband's aunt died in 1994 and she's still listed in the US Search Index. Leona is listed as living in Portland, OR. Lula is listed as living in Silverton, OR.
I checked the Oregon death indexes (up to 1998). Neither Leona or Lula are listed as being deceased but a Leona is listed as being the spouse of Albert Overlund. He died 26 Mar 1964 in Multnomah Co., OR. Also there is a Lula listed as the spouse of Marvin Dahl who died 26 June 1988 in Marion Co., OR.
I forgot to mention that that I obtained these names from the 1962 obituary of Ralph & Effie Digby: The obit says that they have two sons, Lawrence & Louis; two daughters: Mrs. Lula Dahl of Silverton, OR & Mrs. Leona Overlund, Portland, OR.
I checked for an address on Oregon and couldn't find any listing at all for Dahl which I thought was kind of strange unless the whole bunch has unlisted phone numbers??? I did find a listing for L. Overlund, 4834 SW Iowa St., Portland, OR 97221. Always the possibility that Lula (Digby) Dahl married again.
That's all I have for the moment. I think I'll go ahead and write to that address in Portland and see if I receive a reply. Hopefully Leona will be in good health and good spirits.
