a. Note:   Moses Dustin was a blacksmith. He lived at Chester, NH until about 1772 when he moved to Candia, NH. He was First Lieut. in Captain Thomas Cogswell's Company, also in Col. Gerrish's Regiment 1775-76, and was taken prisoner at Hubbardton, Vermont July 7, 1777.

  Moses Dustin, (1744-95), was the first man to enlist from Candia. He served as lieutenant under Capt. Nathan Hale, and was in command of the camp at Ticonderoga. He was born in Haverhill, Mass. and died in Candia, N. H.
