Notes
a. Note:   Longford is situated off the Midlands Highway and is 27km from Launceston and 188km from Hobart. It was first settled in 1813 and is one of the oldest towns in Northern Tasmania. Many of its buildings were built by convicts. Christ Church has an exquisite stained glass window which was made in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England early in the 19th century - this is the church where Georgina was married.
Witness at wedding William Buckham - Georgina's father and JohnKessolay
 marriage by Banns

At the time of Elsie's birth in 1892 - the certificate states there were 3 females living.
What a life Georgina lead. Not one that I would have wanted. So many questions - all will remain unanswered. Did she leave Henry after the deaths of so many children? Did they divorce? Tasmania, mainland Australia then to New Zealand - wow!! I wonder why these children died?
It appears that Georgina and her three daughters left Australia for New Zealand between 1892 and 1895.
An intention to marry is registered (No 905) and Georgina gives he rname as Thiers aged 40.
Interesting that her marriage certificate to John Jansan states Georgina was a spinster (someone who has never married). Nothing there about being married one or two times prior?
Witnesses to this marriage - Edwin J Hodren from Petino, an Aerated Water Maker and Henry Redmund, from Wellington a Clerk. Georgina could not sign her name.
Also interesting is the fact that on Georgina's death she had 30 acres at Rakaunui, NS
Georgina died from heart disease 30 December 1918.
I'm so glad we found Georgina after all these years. I hope she found peace in the end.
