J. Rogers Died Early Last Night" "Pioneer Union County Resident Passes Suddenly" T. J. Rogers, 75 years of age, a native of Union County and a resident here all his life, died suddenly last night at his home five and one half miles from El Dorado on the Magnolia Highway. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Parnell Cemetery when the Rev. M. F. Swilley, Jr., Babtist minister, will deliver the burial message. Barton's Funeral Home are in charge of the funeral arrangements. Mr. Rogers is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Rogers, one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Slaughter and one son, John Rogers of El Dorado. Until recently Mr. Rogers had been in excellent health. He had in the past few weeks been suffering from what he thought was indigestion, but following the custom of all his life he was always busy at some task. He spent Wednesday measuring timber in the vicinity of his home for a neighbor friend. He returned home in apparent good health but died before a physician could reach his bedside. J. Rogers, 75, pioneer resident of Union County who died Wednesday night at his home five and one-half miles west of El Dorado on the Magnolia road was laid to rest yesterday afternoon in the Parnell Cemetery. Burial followed funeral services conducted at the grave by the Rev. M. F. Swilley, Jr., Baptist minister. Arrangements were in charge of the Barton Funeral Home. Mr. Rogers was apparently in excellent health until a few weeks ago when he suffered an attack of what he believed to be indigestion. His condition somewhat improved, he spent Wednesday measuring timber on a neighbor's place. He returned home late in the afternoon, was stricken and died before a physician could reach his bedside. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Rogers; one daughter, Mrs. J. W.
