Henrietta was 14 at the time of her marriage, Henry was 34. Her mother Emma Grace was responsible for finding Henry for Etta to marry, and to marry her off so young. She was also responsible for arranging Ettas' second marriage.

Some of her children thought that she was born in Magnolia. She told me, Hank Rogers, her grandson, personally that she was born when her parents lived near Augusta, AR. Her father had been employed making wooden railroad ties. She told me this approximately 2004.

Henrietta Mann, age 78, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, September 9, 2007.
Born December 7, 1928 at Magnolia, a daughter of the late Henry Arthur Jacobs and Emma Grace Boles Jacobs Allen.
Married to Jesse Mann on February 7, 1952 at Magnolia; Mr. Mann died July 19, 2007.
Also predeceased by son, Edward Henry Rogers; daughter, Grace Laverne Rogers Massey; brother, Richard Jacobs; sisters, Malinda McLaughlin and Emma Grace Hulse.
Survivors: sons, Daniel Rogers of Hampton, Stephen Mann of Little Rock, and Willie Mann of Jefferson; daughters, Marietta Rogers, Jessie Rogers, and Emma Coker, all of Pine Bluff; brothers, Robert Jacobs and Edward Jacobs of Pine Bluff; sisters, Betty Beamon and Ruth Carlson, both of Houston, Texas and Cleo Godfrey of Beaumont, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service: Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services with David MacMillan officiating.
Visitation: Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South.
