  The John C. Smith Cemetery is where John Christopher Smith & his wife Louisa Craft Wood, along with their son James Addison Smith, and a child named Nelson B. Gibson are buried. It was beside their home (about 50 yards), a glorious two story affair with balconies and floor to ceiling windows of fine lead glass. The home is now gone, dismantled and moved in the 1980's, but the cemetery remains. It is surrounded by an old cast iron fence. It is located off of Rt. 626 (Museville Rd.).
  Born on his parent's plantation on Tomahawk Creek, near Museville. Died on his homestead in Museville.
  They lived on his parents plantation on Tomahawk Creek for a few years, moved to Swansonville for a few years before ending up in Museville in the 1890's.
  He owned 1100 acres of land at "Museville" and was a most successful farmer.
  He helped his sons start and operate Smith General Dry Goods Store at Museville and Smith Feed & Seed in Danville.
