A. Leverett have issued invitations to the marriage of their daughter, Miss Sallie, to Mr. D. B. Sharp. This happy event will take place at the Baptist Church on the evening of the 20th. (of Dec.) * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * The LaFayette Sun, Dec. 21, 1898 A Happy Marriage On yesterday evening at eight o'clock at the Baptist Church in this place, Miss Sallie Leverett was united in marriage to Mr. D. B. Sharp, the ceremony being performed by the pastor Rev. G. A. Hornady. At the altar the two met and pledge their vows each to the other and were made husband and wife. The ceremony was witnessed by a large concourse of friends who wished for the young couple a most happy union and a life of unalloyed bliss. The bride is a most charming lady, possessing the graces of heart and mind, which win for her friends. The groom is one of Chambers' most successful farmers who has, by close attention to business, accumulated a good portion of this world's goods. He is also a prominent teacher of music and is in demand at many of the singings all over this and adjoining counties. The Sun voices the sentiment of many when it bids Mr. and Mrs. Sharp a God-speed all through life. They will reside at the home of Mr. Sharp in the community near Buffalo.
