  Mrs. Ida McJunkins
Wife of Mr. W. T. McJunkins Passes Away
Mrs. Ida McJunkins, whom resided near Buffalo, Ala., was claimed by death on Oct. 6th, 1926, after a short illness. She was stricken with a severe attack of Paralysis on the morning of Oct. 6th at 8 o'clock and died at 2 P.M. the same day, she had only 6 hours to suffer and then a Blessed rest.
Mrs. McJunkins was born on Nov. 23rd, 1861 A.D. and died on Oct. 6th, 1926 A.D. She was 64 years 10 mo. and 13 days old. Before her marriage to Mr. McJunkins she was Miss Ida Crisler, at the age of 18 she and Mr. McJunkins pledged their love to each other to begin life's voyage. They consecrated their lives to God at an early age and joined the Methodist Church, South, and have been loyal to the cause of their Master for 43 years, and God smiled upon them, blessed their home with 8 children, of which seven are still living to mourn their great loss. The surviving family are Mr. W. T. McJunkins, husband, Mrs. L. W. Robertson, of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. S. H. Sharp, of Five Points, Ala., Mrs. J. M. Mobley, of Shawmut, Ala., Mrs. W. R. Williams, of Griffin, Ga., Mrs. Cleve Stevens of Roanoke, Ala., Mrs. A G. Johnston, of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. E. P. Hill, of Buffalo, Ala., one daughter who preceded her to the grave by eight years, Mrs. Loulla Mobley. The house was blessed with 31 grand children and 2 great grand children, 3 brothers:  Mr. N. A. Crisler, of LaGrange, Ga., Mr. J. A. Crisler, of Buffalo, Ala., and Mr. Tomie Crisler, of Louisiana, one sister, Mrs. J. B. Harralson, near Milltown, Ala.
Funeral services were held at Chapel Hill, M.E. Church, Thursday, at 11:30 o'clock A.M., Oct. 7th, by her faithful pastor, Rev. Adkinson, assisted by Rev. Johnson, pastor of the Methodist Church at LaFayette, Ala. A very beautiful and touching sermon that was full of love, hope and sympathy, was extended, after which Mr. Cutland, the sympathetic and courteous Undertaker of LaFayette, Ala., carefully placed the body in it's vault in the Penton Cemetery to await the call of the Master and Lord, in Whom she trusted, Who's voice shall be heard by all in their graves, for He is the Resurrection and the Life, and has overcome death to give life to all who love Him.
She was a kind and loving wife, a tender and affectionate mother, kind to friends and strangers, devoted to the Savior and church. Sweet memories of mother are enthroned in the hearts of loved ones, a hope steadfast and sure, "Mother awaits the home coming of love ones to a Heaven Glorious, Lovely and Pure."
May God's richest Blessing rest upon all the sorrowing family and friends.
  Rev. & Mrs. W. R. Williams
